Medical Detox

New Path offers a seven-day drug and alcohol sub-acute detox program. Our clients come to us with drug or alcohol dependency and need our professional help and medical attention to complete the detox process. Opioid drugs, heroin, and fentanyl can cause intense physical dependence as the body believes it needs the drug to function. Alcohol withdrawal symptoms can be extremely painful and dangerous. Enrolling in an inpatient drug detox program is the best way to cope with and overcome these withdrawal symptoms.

New Path Recovery utilizes the disease model in treating drug addiction. We believe that addictions are treatable conditions much like any other life-threatening illness. Additionally, we view recovery from a 12-step perspective with a belief that as the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) states – “there is hope for continuous and lasting recovery from the hopeless state of body and mind that result from active alcoholism or addiction.” Participation in 12-step programming encourages clients to effectively assess their habits and behaviors and teaches that recovery is a life-long process.

Therapies During Detox

At New Path we utilize the resources and services of many professionals to treat the whole person: mind, body, and soul. Our clients are encouraged to participate in meetings of HA (Heroin Anonymous), NA (Narcotic Anonymous), AA (Alcohol Anonymous, and faith based meeting emphasizing forgiveness and spiritual healing.

We educate our clients on the benefits of holistic therapies. We offer nutritional counseling to our clients and for relaxation offer daily yoga and meditation, aromatherapy, stretching, art therapy, music intervention and weekly massages. Social activities include corn hole tournaments, BINGO, movie nights, and nightly conversations around our fire pit. Our clients leave our facility with not only a new outlook on life from completing detox, but a new haircut or style, career development information and financial planning knowledge.
